Andy Trcka and Terri Thao, co-chairs of the CAC, welcomed everyone to the meeting and gave a brief overview of the CAC’s role and ways for the general public to give input on the project. The project team reviewed the project schedule. More time was needed to refine the design concepts and listen to the community and project stakeholders. The Design Guide Manual and project survey will be released in mid-December. Next, Wayne Houle from SEH led the CAC through the project vision and guiding principles of the Grand Round. CAC members provided suggestions to further refine those statements. Wayne then led a discussion on the wayfinding and placemaking elements of the project. At the next CAC meeting prioritization of elements for the 2016 improvements will be discussed. In the question and answer portion of the meeting, CAC members, city staff, and project team members discussed the continued maintenance of the Grand Round facilities.
